Statement from Louisville Together

NO on 300/301 adds AdventHealth Avista, Thistle Community Housing to Coalition

Louisville, Colo. (Oct. 6, 2025) – Louisville Together, a broad-based community coalition of elected officials, affordable housing providers, business leaders, and residents, today announced two major endorsements in the coalition effort opposing Ballot Measures 300 & 301.

“We are grateful for the leadership and courage that AdventHealth Avista and Thistle Community Housing have shown in joining Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, Together Colorado, the Chamber, and the Downtown Business Association in opposing these deceptive and misleading measures,” said Tim Bierman, former City Council member and a leader of Louisville Together. “Not a single name or organization is publicly listed in support of the extreme measures in 300/301, yet the most respected names in our town are lined up in opposition. That should tell voters everything they need to know to Vote No on 300 & 301.”

The hospital is one of Louisville’s largest employers, and a named target in the ballot measure language. Thistle Community Housing is one of the most prolific affordable housing providers in Louisville and across Boulder County.

The two measures – which aim to create the highest barriers to new affordable housing in Colorado and enact punishing fees on new employers – are opposed by a broad-based coalition organized as Louisville Together. The coalition includes every member of the city council, former mayors and city council members, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, housing experts, and community advocates – all of whom have proudly listed their names.
